Senator Bernie Sanders Rant
The following is from Bernie Sanders speakings on 9-24-2013 on the Senate floor on Obamacare.
Bernie Sanders: Middle class makes less now then they made in the past...
Bruce Goldwell: So Bernie.. does reducing hours to 29 hours a week increase the income of the Middle Class?
BS: . since 2007 the distribution of wealth has gone to the upper 1% rather than middle class citizens.
BG: So Bernie.. it has been Obama who is distributing the wealth since 2007... are you saying his policies are not working?
BS: I would like to see a single payer system for Medicare.
BG: So Bernie.. how do you think Seniors will feel about that?
BS: Experts say... Global warming is destroying our environment.
BG: So Bernie... experts also say there is NO Global Warming. It might even be we are about to go into a mini ice age.
BS: The wealth class is doing quite well while the middle class is not.
BG: Again Bernie.. how does a Healthcare system that reduces the working hours of middle class improve their financial standing?
BS: We need to raise the minimum wage.
BG: So Bernie.. you want to reduce the hours of workings to 29 hours a week but increase minimum wage. How does this help middle class workers?
BS: If we have no minimum wage, employers will only pay $3.00 an hour to workers.
BG: WOW Bernie.. where did that come from? Isn't there already a minimum wage law?
BS: Blah... blah.. blah.. the GOP wants to take us back to the 1920's. No medicare, no minimum wage, no health insurance.. blah.. blah.. blah... I believe people want us to focus on issues relevant to them.
BG: You just spoke for about 15 minutes bringing up ridiculous allegations about what Republicans want and never gave one real fact. Bernie.. people actually voted for you! Some people are easily fooled.
